Milkrun<\/strong> or milk bottle concept refers to a logistics concept in which new material is only delivered in the quantity previously consumed and the empty containers are collected at the same time. In a milk run, several customers or destinations are usually supplied by a vehicle that follows a predefined route for this purpose. At the same time, any empty containers are taken back. This ensures a constant supply and disposal<\/strong>, and partial loads can be delivered particularly economically<\/strong>. However, this requires that material consumption on the recipient side is as constant as possible.

Due to the complexity of the requirements, the milk run concept is particularly suitable for areas characterized by constant demand or easily predictable capacity utilization. This applies above all to modern production lines<\/strong>.
