Multichannel sales refers to the parallel offering of goods in several channels. These can include, for example, stores, web stores and online retailing via marketplaces. In this case, each channel has its own communication channels and possibly also its own inventories, and customer information is collected separately.
In omnichannel sales, these channels are linked, they interact with each other and have access to the same inventory. The goal of omnichannel strategies is an optimal customer experience across all sales channels.
