A demo pool comprises devices that companies make available to potential customers for a limited period of time. The aim is to bring technology to life – in the environment where it will later be used. Whether in ophthalmology, microsurgery, or on the factory floor: those who can test a device in their own working environment before purchasing it make more informed decisions – and are significantly more willing to buy.
For this to work reliably, more than just a few rental devices are needed. A professionally organized demo pool ensures that every unit is in perfect technical condition, is delivered ready for use, and is checked and reconditioned after use. From storage and transport to collection and technical preparation, we take care of every step. To make things even easier for you, we provide you with a specially developed online tool: your sales representatives can use it to check directly whether a test device is available and book it immediately. A structured process you can rely on – for greater security and less effort.
How demo equipment rental works?
Storage: Demonstration devices and accessories are stored at an LGI location that is specially certified for handling your devices.
Configuration: Before a device leaves the warehouse for the prospective customer, customer- and country-specific device settings and equipment are configured. This includes the language on the device, special cables, and printing and binding operating instructions in the respective national language as required.
Transport: Depending on customer requirements, we deliver the appropriate transport mode to the place of use on request. This can be a medical facility, a laboratory, a hospital, or even a trade fair.
Place of use: The test device is unpacked at the place of use upon request. This is followed by assembly (e.g., attaching components) and installation (including connecting the device to the power supply and commissioning). Our technically trained driver then returns the empty box.
Return: At the end of the rental period, we take care of the return. We dismantle the device, pack it in the box provided and return it to the warehouse.
Reconditioning: In the warehouse, the device is thoroughly disinfected, a functional test tailored to each device type is carried out and the customer data is certified deleted. The test product is then stored again before being prepared for the next interested party or for demonstration purposes at a trade fair.

Keeping up to date & maintenance: Technical updates and regular maintenance are a matter of course for us.
Setting up new additions: New devices in stock? We take care of the entire initial installation before they go into circulation.
