What are value-added services?

By definition, value-added services (abbreviation: VAS) are services that go beyond the actual core business. In logistics, a general distinction is made between product-oriented and process-oriented VAS. Product-oriented VAS relate directly to the product, such as assembly, configuration, or quality control. Process-oriented VAS support logistical and administrative processes, such as packaging, labeling, customs clearance, or returns management.
